International Society for the History of Rhetoric - The International Society for the History of Rhetoric was created in order to promote studies of rhetoric in theory and practice. It also emphasizes the relationship of rhetoric to other cultural contexts, such as poetics, literary theory and criticism, philosophy, politics, religion, law.
Customary international law - In addition to treaties and other expressed or ratified agreements that create international law, the International Court of Justice, legal scholars, jurists, the United Nations and its member states consider customary international law, coupled with General principles of law, to be primary sources of international law. The vast majority of the worlds governments (including the United States) accept in principle the existence of customary international law, although there are many differing opinions as to what rules are contained in it.
International criminal law - International criminal law is an autonomous branch of law which deals with international crimes and the courts and tribunals set up to adjudicate cases in which persons have incurred international criminal responsibility. It represents a significant departure from 'classical' international law which was mainly considered law created by states for the benefit of states, but tended to ignore the individual as a subject of the law.
